To conclude our involvement in the 2022 UW Science Expeditions, Medical Physics hosted a table in the Health Sciences Learning Center on Sunday. Visitors of all ages could be seen exploring the many tables at the event. People seemed relieved to hear that the brain on our table was merely made out of gelatin unlike the real brains on display at other group tables. In addition to ultrasound and x-ray imaging, members of the public could learn history and safety regarding radiation by talking to us about our Geiger counter and antique Fiestaware!
