Catherine Steffel Wins Poster Competition at AAAS Meeting
Catherine Steffel, student of Drs. Tomy Varghese and Carol Mitchell, won the Student E-Poster Competition in the Medicine & Public Health category at the 2020 American Association for the Advancement of Science Annual Meeting. Her abstract, entitled "Sight Unseen: Characterizing Carotid Plaque with Ultrasound," also received a travel award. For winning the poster competition, Catherine will be recognized in an upcoming issue of Science magazine. She will also receive a cash prize, a certificate, and a one-year AAAS membership.
