Leonardo Rivera-Rivera Named ISMRM Junior Fellow

Leonardo Rivera-Rivera, Ph.D., has just been awarded the designation of Junior Fellow for the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM). The Junior Fellow award recognizes highly-productive scientists within five years of receiving their doctorate.

Dr. Rivera-Rivera graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics in 2017, under the mentorship of Medical Physics professor Oliver Wieben. He then worked with assistant professor Kevin Johnson as a postdoc. Rivera-Rivera's research investigates inter-relationships between cerebrovascular flow dynamics and Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers.

Congratulations Leo!
