Weibo Cai Part of Team That Develops Implantable Device for Fast Bone Healing
Weibo Cai, Professor of Radiology and Medical Physics, was part of a team led by Xudong Wang (Materials Science and Engineering) which has developed an implantable, self-powered device which promotes bone healing. The device uses electrostimulation to speed up the bone healing process, then degrades and absorbs into the body, removing the need for surgical removal.
