Guang-Hong Chen named 2023 SPIE fellow

SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, recently released its list of 2023 Fellows of the Society. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Guang-Hong Chen has received this honor. Fellows are members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging. Chen joins a talented group of 83 professionals receiving the honor this year.

"Being named as SPIE Fellow is a recognition of having demonstrated being a scientific leader in imaging," says Dr. Brian Pogue, department chair. "Guang-Hong Chen's work in CT imaging has led to dozens of patents and papers that have literally transformed the way that we produce images in computed tomography. His work is not just academic, but has real world impact in commercialized systems, while still pushing the scientific boundaries of what is possible."
