Continuous innovation enabled by a dedication to research & development is vital to the success of both academia and the medical technology industry. New constructs that leverage the increasingly collaborative nature of healthcare, combined with the growing recombinative nature of innovation will accelerate the pace of discovery. Successful Academic Industrial partnerships require shared motivation, organizational flexibility and a commitment to advancing patient centered care through commercialization programs.
