The fields of radiology and medical physics are in the early stages of a monumental shift that is shaping the future of imaging research. New developments in artificial intelligence (AI) allow for improvement in image recognition tasks, image reconstruction, and dose reduction. In this talk we will review the technological advancements in AI that allow for such achievements in imaging research and explore applications of these techniques in abdominal imaging.
