New Student Orientation Date Set

The Department of Medical Physics has set the date for New Student Orientation this year. It is planned for August 31, starting at around 11:30 and lasting 2 hours.

The orientation session provides new students the opportunity to get an overview of the curriculum and expectations for the Qualifier after the end of their second semester. Important information related to computers, seminars, and radlab classes is discussed. The student handbook will be introduced, and steps towards continuing with successful progress highlighted.

The topics of determining a minor subject area, satisfying course requirements in statistics and in Responsible Conduct of research, and satisfying the biology requirements, particularly anatomy and/or physiology, also are discussed.
