Meyerand awarded Vilas Distinguished Service Professorship
Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering Professor Elizabeth Meyerand was recently awarded a Vilas Distinguished Service Professorship, effective January 1, 2012. This 5 year Professorship recognizes distinguished scholarship and excellence in teaching and service. The Vilas appointment is among the Universitys most prestigious awards for scholarly achievement and the advancement of learning. The professorship title will be carried throughout Dr. Meyerands tenure at UW-Madison.
