Cai Invited to Serve Another 3-Year Term on CPRIT Scientific Peer Review Panel
Prof. Weibo Cai, Director of the Molecular Imaging and Nanotechnology Laboratory (http://mi.wisc.edu), was invited to serve on the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT, http://www.cprit.state.tx.us/) Imaging Technology and Informatics Scientific Peer Review Panel for a 3-Year Term (2014-2016).
The state of Texas established CPRIT in 2007, which will issue $3 billion in bonds to fund groundbreaking cancer research and prevention programs (similar to NIH R21/R01/P01/P50 etc.) and services in Texas. Prof. Cai has previously served a 3-year term from 2010 to 2012 in the CPRIT Interfaces Reviewing Committee. After restructuring of CPRIT in 2013, this panel is now under a new name called “Imaging Technology and Informatics Scientific Peer Review Panelâ€, in which Prof. Cai will serve his 2nd 3-year term. Both panels were Chaired by Prof. Sanjiv S. Gambhir from Stanford University.
