Cai Invited to Serve on the Discovery Grant Panel of Prostate Cancer Canada
Prof. Weibo Cai, Director of the Molecular Imaging and Nanotechnology Laboratory (http://mi.wisc.edu), was invited to serve on the Discovery Grant Panel of Prostate Cancer Canada (http://www.prostatecancer.ca/).
Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) is offering a limited number of Discovery Grants. The goal is to support researchers to generate preliminary data in prostate cancer research that would provide the basis for a more substantial research grant from another agency. The Discovery Grant program supports junior investigators and allows more established investigators to pursue new important directions. It is open to applications from all areas of prostate cancer research.
Experts from Canadian and international institutions will be assembled to evaluate the Discovery Grant applications in four panels: Panel A - Biology of Prostate Cancer, Panel B - Early Detection of Prostate Cancer, Panel C - Experimental Therapeutics, Panel D - Clinical and Population Health. Prof. Cai has served on Panel C in 2013 and will serve again in 2014.
